Electrical wiring problems usually occur in older homes, or those that are new but are poorly planned and constructed. It is best that these problems are addressed immediately as it can cause electrical fires which have claimed the lives and properties of a lot of Americans.
Home improvement website BobVila.com shared signs of an outdated wiring and what should be done with it. Dimming lights was one of the signs pointed out in the article. Builders and Contractors
“If the ceiling lights dim when you turn on a microwave or vacuum cleaner, you may be overloading the circuits or the wiring. To be on the safe side, check the wiring and circuit breaker to that section of your home.”

“The panel contains more circuits than it’s rated to handle, because too many single-pole breakers (one circuit) have been replaced with tandem breakers (two circuits) in one slot.
