Surf City USA described the Huntington Beach night life in one of the articles they have posted in their website.
“Thirsting to drink a beer with the locals? Watering holes in Huntington Beach run the gamut from rockabilly dive bar to upscale jazz lounge. Live music, karaoke, and juke boxes sing from bars and pubs lining Main Street, where you’ll find a mix of dance floors, sports bars, cantinas, aloha spirit, Irish pride, quiet outdoor patios pouring craft cocktails—and even Orange County’s only mechanical bull. This eclectic variety of nightlife permeates throughout town, all the way up through Sunset Beach and its famed retro tiki bar. A top of mind recommendation made by locals to visiting beach goers, is Hurricane’s.
In their official website, they recounted how their bar became a success in the Huntington Beach area. “It was in 1992 that Hurricanes Bar & Grill first splashed onto the Huntington Beach local scene. Over 25 years later we are still making every item from scratch, from rich and creamy clam chowders to thick chargrilled sirloin steak burgers, mountainous sandwich creations, teasing and tasty taco platters and mouthwatering mac n cheese just to name a few of over 60 items. Combine that with a full bar and 20 ice cold taps and you have a recipe for the best experience this side of the Mississippi. Things to Do in Huntington Beach Other than Surfing
Big Portions Reasonably Priced has been our success! This is truly SoCal casual dining at its best.”

Duke’s is yet another go-to-bar for locals and avid surfers in the area. In their homepage, they included a bio of Duke Kahanamoku, an Olympic gold medalist whom the bar has been named after.
“Duke Paoa Kahanamoku was born August 24, 1890 in Honolulu, Hawaii, the first of six sons and three daughters of Duke and Julia Kahanamoku. He grew up in carefree Waikiki with the ocean as his playground, doing what he loved – mostly swimming, surfing, canoeing and bodysurfing. At the age of 21 he won his first Olympic gold medal, then went on to represent the United States in the Olympics for 20 years, winning not only medals but the hearts of people all over the world. He is remembered as a swimmer not just for remarkable speed, but for his grace in the water, his good humor, and his sportsmanship.”
